Good friends are awesome. They pick you up when you’re down, they make you laugh, they appreciate your jokes, they love you for you.
Friends look out for you. Except when they unintentionally don’t.
Do you have a well-meaning friend who wants to give you her cast-offs?
“I don’t like this sweater anymore. Do you want it?”
“This skirt isn’t my style. Here you go.”
“I never use this cupcake display holder. It’s all yours.”
“This perfume smells funny to me. Please take it.”
Friends have the best of intentions, but unless their cast-offs are useful to you, they’re really just clutter.
So I give you permission to just say no to cast-offs.
