When I tell people the square footage of our condo, I can almost read their minds as the look of astonishment crosses their faces. They ask questions such as: "Do you live alone?" (No.) "Do you wish you lived in a bigger place?" (No.) "How do you make it work?" (We choose to live with less.)
Buying a 780 square foot condo was a conscious decision for me and my spouse. We didn't want nor need a big space. We knew we didn't need much space in order to thrive. We didn't want the upkeep or the hassle of a larger home.
Five years later, we're still thankful for our home. At times it feels too big. Other times it feels too small. Most of the time it feels just right.
