Sometimes a project can feel bigger than you. You know it's something you want to do (or need to do), but it feels so overwhelming, you end up feeling frozen and, instead, you do nothing.
Often, clients underestimate their strength and perseverance. They see an unfinished project and feel diminished, sad, overwhelmed, disappointed, cranky, hopeless, and any other number of negative thoughts and feelings. When this occurs, I remind them to break down each project into smaller, more manageable portions, and then take those portions one step at a time.
With the completion of each step, momentum builds, the client sees progress, confidence returns, and the gray cloud of doubt lifts.
