Another case for living with less

 LIVE WITH LESS toys

Just as adults can easily feel overwhelmed by stuff, so too can little ones. A recent study by the University of Toledo has shown that giving children too many toys is actually bad for them. Children get distracted and overwhelmed and are unable to concentrate on any one thing. Researchers found that children are far more creative when they have fewer toys to play with, and getting rid of toys encourages kids to read more or paint.

I encourage parents (and grandparents) to consider the impact an overabundance of toys can have on their children/grandchildren and explore other gift options instead, such as annual passes to a children's museum or tickets to a children's theatre production.
