Small Space Stories: Diving deeper into memorabilia

Small Space Stories: Diving deeper into memorabilia

Funny story…. After my sister read my most recent blog post about my getting rid of memorabilia, she sent a text expressing her surprise that I had kept my creepy looking babydoll all these years (25+). As you can probably guess, I have a reputation within my family for not keeping much of anything! Her text got me thinking about…

Small Space Stories: The never-ending to-do list

Small Space Stories: The never-ending to-do list

As a small business owner, I wear many hats (bookkeeper, writer, editor, marketer, presenter, networker, volunteer, web designer, and, MOST importantly, professional organizer). Plus, I, like most people, have a plethora of items that need to get done at home. The result of this is a seemingly never-ending list of items that need to be completed. Small Space Stories: Photographs

I just needed to get started.

Small Space Stories: books

One of my earliest childhood memories is visiting the library with my mom. As an avid reader, my mom passed down her love of books and reading to me. Not only was my first “real” job at the Lyon County Public Library in Marshall, MN (because working for my dad on his farm from about age seven doesn’t necessarily count as a real job), but I also worked at the Briggs Library at South Dakota State University during my college years, at the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library in their adult literacy program for five years, AND I once considered getting my master’s degree in library science. I’m telling y’all, this girl loves books.

Small Space Stories: kitchen cabinets

Let’s face it - kitchens in smaller spaces tend to have limited counter and cabinet space. My kitchen is no exception. With only four upper cabinets (two of which are basically unusable since one is located above the built-in microwave and the other is above the refrigerator) and only a handful more lower cabinets, I had to maximize the space I was provided.
